I tried to download the Zip file, but what I got was a .zip.cpgz file

A .cpgz file means the zip file was corrupted — there was a glitch during the download, most likely from a brief interruption in your internet connection.

First thing you’ll want to do is delete the .cpgz files so the new files can download correctly.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive, and that your download folder doesn’t have a space limitation.
