There’s room on my laptop, but the file still won’t download

Occasionally there will be a limit on the size of the files in the download folder, or of the folder itself. This is worth a quick check before you spend too much time troubleshooting.

The next thing to check is to find out how much of the file has downloaded. Does is start downloading and then fail or does it stop before even getting started? The download could be getting blocked by your virus protector, which is somewhat common.

If you get a partial download that quits, there are a few options. First, try a re-download, but save it to a different location. This often fixes download problems.
